Crossing over from the film industry to the art world, Angelica Lee's paintings are filled with childlike charm and healing powers, receiving widespread acclaim. The title of this solo art exhibition in Hong Kong, 'Tong But Lut Childtopia', was personally named by Angelica Lee, drawing inspiration from the well-known dessert 'Tong But Lut' (Sticky Rice Dumplings). The round glutinous rice balls are transformed into adorable round child-like faces. The exhibition features 20 brand-new paintings, inspired by Hong Kong's local snacks and city memories. It is Angelica Lee's love letter to Hong Kong, inviting viewers to step into her heartwarming memories of the city.
When sharing her creative concept, Angelica Lee touchingly expressed: 'Hong Kong is a place full of human touch for me. The perfection and sweetness of 'Tong But Lut' resemble the kind of pure and warm memories I have of my childhood and life.
